The Carnival Comes to Daly City
There was a carnival at Daly City on the past 3 days. They usually come every year for 3 days, and usually are packed up with lots of fun, colors, and games. They actually have a new ride that is called the '' Freak Out ''. It was pretty scary and was the most frightening one of all. It seemed like a claw ride and was very colorful. Although there was a new ride, there were also the originals too. The Thriller was very very dizzy. It spins around in a circular form which also holds down the gravitational force, making it very hard to move as it pushes you down. I also remember going on the little candy swinging ride last year. they still had it this year, but even though it was a kiddy ride it was VERY scary for me.
One of the carnival originals was the ferris wheel which was pretty fast. The ride that really creeped me out was the Ring of Fire. It was very scary for my friend who says that she felt like she was going to fall off from the top of ride. For me I did not go this year, but my friend did. It was pretty scary last year and I also got a red snow cone which was very beautiful looking with all the red on the ice. My friend actually got a caramel apple, which I really wanted to taste once in my lifetime. The carnival was very fun and entertaining, I hope you could go to the carnival next year! Bye Bye

Chocolate FUNdraiser! by Cathernie
Chocolate FUNdraiser!
Currently, T. R. Pollicita is having their most important fundraiser! We are selling World’s Finest Chocolate for a $1 each. This fundraiser will help raise the needed money for assemblies and end-of-the-year trips. This also helps the 8th graders’ Grad Dance, which is very much needed for them. So far, student government has collected about $2,000. This amount, right now, is not very good, since we need $4,000. At this point we will probably have no food for the Grad dance. So how are we gonna raise the other $2,000? Duh, all you need to do is sell! Us student government work our butts off, so just help us out with this fundraiser. SO PLEASE SELL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE !!!!!!!
The chocolate box has a total of 60 bars. That is not hard to sell. All you have to do is just walk around your neighborhood, with a friend or parent, and simply just SELL! And of course the best part of fundraisers, PRIZES, is included. Every case you sell, you receive a cute, unique frog. There are many different designed frogs, which means you can trade with friends! I find that very fun and cool to do. Two more prizes they will receive, if they sell a case, is 100 Spirit Points and they get to be entered in the drawing for the Benihana Limo/Lunch prize! YUM. there will be 5 winners which is even better! The top seller gets a FREE SPIRIT TRIP TO SIX FLAGS!!!!!! I totally think it’s worth it. Right now, it looks like the student who is getting a free Six Flags trip is A.J. Ramos, who sold 6 boxes. She told me that. There are only 10 boxes left, and we’re trying to get rid of them ASAP. So, PLEASE sell & buy chocolates, since it is for a really good benefit.

New York, Boston mayors back LGBT groups, reject St. Patrick's Day parades
By Stephanie A
The mayors of Boston and New York decided to stay out of the St. Patrick's parade because the parades didn't support LGBT rights. I think the mayors should participate in the parade because they're the head of their cities. Even if they don't agree with what's going on in the parade, they should at least support their city because then others in the city could be upset. If I was the mayor of a large city, I would be part of the parade because if I didn't their could be a bad reaction to my not participating in the parade.

Celebrity of the Week: Lily Collins
Celebrity of the Week: Lily Collins
By Alexxi and Chelsea
Lily Collins recently portrayed Clary Fray in the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in August 2013. In the movie, she had great fashion wearing the all black shadowhunter gear. She also had a fantastic fashion sense off screen. She’s also a model for Teen Vogue, where she displays the clothes she is modeling perfectly.
Lily has a new boyfriend, the actor Thomas Cocquerel, who has replaced her past boyfriend of one year, Jamie Campbell Bower. Lily and Jamie were co-stars, being the two leading roles of City of Bones. They had romance on and off screen. It was heartbreaking when the two broke up a couple days before the premiere of their movie together. (Jamily forever<3)
It is known that Lily will be starring in Love Rosie with co-star Sam Clafflin, and she’s currently working on the next Mortal Instruments Movie: City of Ashes.
